The Three Buddies!!!

Ledger is so lucky to have a boy cousin born on both sides just one month ahead of him. The top picture is his cousin Desmond, he was born, May 9. He is my sister Sarah's youngest. The bottom picture is his cousin Chase, he was born May 2. He is Nathans' sister Marie's youngest. (In case you are wondering, Chase had that helmet because his head needed a little molding... and he is thinking about signing on with BYU too, they want him bad, but he might be too nice...) Ledger was born June 10. So it will be so fun to have a cousin on each side to be his buddy. It will also be fun to see them go through all the stages together, like if you can tell by the slobber on their shirts, they are all teething!!! In fact Ledger already has two teeth... Desmond and Chase don't yet... but it is also nice that these guys have babies the same age as mine, because then they can reassure me that it is fine. I ask them new questions every day and it is so nice that they can help me, I am sure my pediatrician is grateful becausethey have saved me a few calls to him!!!! Ledger is a pretty big boy, at his four month appointment he weighed 16 lbs 9 0z (90%) and was 27 1/2 inches long (over 100%). But he was almost nine lbs. when he was born!!!

Starting Young

As most of you know rodeo is a pretty big part of our lives. Nathan actually does it for a living. He is very good, and has accomplished a lot with it. We are really proud of him! It has been really fun for our family to travel together. We have so many fun memories, we look forward to making many more memories with Ledger. The top picture was taken at Waco Texas about two weeks ago. Sometimes Nathan tells people he hopes Ledger becomes a golfer, or does something other than rodeo, but by the looks of it I think it is already too late. In fact, the first thing the doctor said when she delivered him was, "wow he has big hands, I think he will make a great calf roper." So from day one it has pretty much been in the cards for him. He already looks up to his dad now so I'm sure if he has the choice to go golfing or roping the choice will be pretty obvious.

Don't Wake Us Up!!!

One morning I woke up and was getting ready for work, I was trying to be quiet and let these two sleep, apparently I was. I peeked into our room and this is what I saw. I thought it was so cute. It is really funny how many things Ledger does that are just like his dad.

Tummy Time

I love this picture. I think it is so funny with his hands. Another reason that this picture is funny is because since I am a first time mom I did not know that I was supposed to be doing tummy time. When I heard that I was supposed to be doing it, I started trying it each day and he absoutly hated it. He finally loves it now, so I guess it's ok that I am still learning!!!

Does He Look Like A Potential Calf Roper?

Nathan added the picture of me. Sick!!!
This is Robin, (she is Clint Robinsons' wife) she is so nice Ledger loves her. We went to Canada with them, it was fun!!!

This was at the Canadian Finals Tour Rodeo in Canada. Nathan qualified for the Canadian Finals which are in November. They are in Edmonton. I am pretty excited, one of the biggest malls in the world is there. Actually I am really excited to watch Nathan Rope. But... those of you who know me know I am always up for SHOPPING!!! Really the Canadian finals will be a blast.

Ledger Has The Giggles!!!

One of the funnest things for us has been watching Ledge develop his personality. He has gone from smiling to full on giggling. We were amazed the first time he ever did it, the second time I quickly grabbed my camera, but the video of that is funny cause Nathan and I were laughing so hard that you really cant even hear Ledge. So, this is another funny one. It is amazing how often Nathan makes him laugh. Ledge has a GREAT dad!!!

Ledger Enjoying The Slack At Reno

Nathan happens to be watching who ever is roping, instead of looking at the camera. I have discovered it can be pretty hard to get them to both look at the camera at the same time. Oh well, its good enough!

The Fourth Of July

The Fourth of July has always meant rodeo for me even from the time I was little, now it does even more since I married Nathan. If anyone remembers, Ledger was born June 10, this was July 4. The sad part about that is most people probably think that that is a little early to have a baby at a rodeo, but this was not his first, it was his fourth. He had already been to Pleasant Grove, Reno and Lehi. We introduced him to rodeo pretty young. I will tell you though he is a really great little traveler. We really do have a lot of fun going together as a family, and with diesel being so cheap it was really easy!!! Ha Ha!!!

Ledger Wants To Choose The Right!

So I mentioned that we had a lot of pictures, now I am just going through them and posting a few. It is funny how doing this is bringing me back to each one of these times. I think that is why I like doing this so much. Anyway this was on Ledger's blessing day. My mom gave us this funny little CTR ring. This was a really fun day, a lot of family was there and we had a luncheon after. It's so fun to be able to enjoy these special times with family. Oh I forgot to mention that we put that ring on Ledger and it looked so cute. After he got blessed we were just sitting in sacrament meeting and the thought came to Nathan, what if this gets stuck??? So all of the sudden he whispers to me, I am going to take that ring off for a second, he goes to take it off and it wont budge!!! We kinda both started to silently panic, then Nathan finally decides to lick his finger and it finally slipped off! We moved it to another finger!!! Everyone has always commented on his big hands!!!

Ledger likes to swim!!!

This was one of Ledger's first rodeo trips. We went to Reno! I bought him this cute little swim outfit but his belly button had not fallen off yet so he just went down and got some sun instead of swimming. I was really sad I wanted him to get right in the water, but I decided I better wait!!! Ha Ha! Anyway he has now outgrown this swim suit, but has a new one that he has really got to use. And in most ways he is just like his dad, but when it comes to water he takes after his mom! I am so excited, he loves to swim!!!
